This is Maria.

Maria is Professor of Transport and Director of the Institute for Climate Change and Sustainable Development at the University of Malta. She has published academic articles and book chapters, edited book volumes and a number of journal special issues related to transport. Prof. Attard was a consultant to government helping to develop, among other projects the first white paper on transport policy (2004), the 2006 Valletta Strategy, including park-and-ride, pedestrianisation and the introduction of road pricing in Valletta, and the 2011 public transport reform. Prof. Attard has participated in over 30 funded projects. She sits on the Steering Committee of the World Conference on Transport Research and is a Cluster co-chair for NECTAR. She is co-editor of the journal Research in Transportation Business and Management and associate editor of Case Studies on Transport Policy.
