The reuse and reinterpretation of a green vein through the Maltese principal urban area connecting the edge of the built up area to the capital Valletta and anything in between, through the rehabilitation of the path of the Maltese Railway.

Conceptual proposal

Revitalizing Wied ta’ Rinella

The aim of this project was to detoxify part of the Rinella Valley, currrently being used as a scrapyard. Following careful understanding of present conditions, measures for decontamination such as phytoremediation strive to transform the area into a demonstrative greenscape, incorporating composting activities, swales, greenhouses and an overall interactive landscape for all demographics.
